Today me and Jem were gonna write a letter to the person who was givin us the presents. We ended up doing it but when we went to put the letter on the tree the hole was filled up! I was so upset and I knew Jem was too but he didn't say nothing bout it. Mr. Radley had filled up the hole, he told us! He said that the tree was dieing but we asked Atticus and he said that the tree wasn't dieing at all. I ain't to sure why he did that but I am for sure suspicious.
Today Jem actually thought that the world was ending cause there was white stuff fallin from the sky. Sometimes he can be stupid. But later when we figured out it was snow me and Jem went out and built a snowman that looked like Mr. Avery. Jem only let me do the back of the snowman cause he wanted the front to himself. I am kinda mad him cause he wouldn't let me help him do the front of the snowman cause he wanted all the glory to himself!

Im the stupid one, you be the Girl! An' you know that if I let you do the front, it woulda looked horrible. Only I could of made it look like Mr. Avery. I didn' want all the glory to myself, I just didn' want you bein' embarassed when the whole neighborhood saw how bad it was. I was doin' somethin' nice for you. Ill tell you, sometimes girls just dont get it, thats why boys were made, to explain it to 'em.

Scout, i am very upset the my father put cement in that whole in the tree. i enjoyed giving you gifts and seeing jem and you find them. my dad just wants to punish me for when i stabbed him in the leg with scissors.
